Contemporary- Nothing Else Matters(Drug Addiction Dance) – top hat dance academy. This dance is about addiction. the scarf represents an obsession whether it be drugs,alcohol, boys, or anything else we are addicted to. our choreographer shanta robinson wanted to bring awareness to parents and anyone who was going through this situation. we researched and studied the development of addiction. it first starts off as us doing it to fit in, then we go through withdraws and do everything we can in our power to get a taste of that “rush” again. then some of us look to god for help and are able to become clean of our addiction, some of us go back to the drug. we try to help our friends out but they wont always accept our gesture. i hope this dance can help someone who is in need of help or whatever the case may be. this is danced by courtney mestressat (me), erianna garcia, neci silva, sam ralston, and chyanne somera.
