Josh Persoff AToN Drug Addiction Treatment Center .mov – Transcript: Hi, I’m Josh Persoff and I am a Chemical Dependency counselor. AToN Center has a unique approach to chemical dependency treatment and is quite distinct from traditional programs. We explain recovery theory in a way that makes sense to our clients and we don’t require strict adherence to a particular doctrine. AToN conducts a recovery study group each day that explains concepts in an integrated way from the SMART Recovery, 12 Step, and AToN Center philosophy perspectives. We believe it is the right of individuals to decide which community support meetings best suit their needs, and offer them the resources to make an educated choice. In fact, upon discharge, 1/3 of our residents choose an aftercare plan that includes SMART Recovery involvement, 1/3 12-Step, and 1/3 of our clients do both. AToN Center is part of a larger recovery community, and we maintain contact with our residents post discharge through weekly aftercare phone calls and aftercare groups.
