Charges Dropped Possibly?
Question by : Charges dropped possibly?
About two weeks ago, I was arrested for possession of marijuana in a drug free zone (school playground area), and the police officer took me to the station, did the report, and I went and stayed in the Juvenile Detention Center for the night. They released me, and gave me papers telling me that I had to make a timely appearance and all the rules I had to follow until my sentencing or whatever, and we had one phone call from a probation officer the day after, but he didn’t have anything important to say, besides that I’d probably be on probation for 6-9 months. We haven’t received a phone call since two Mondays ago, and my mother has even tried to call the courthouse, and probation, but nobody has answered. Is it possible that they are dismissing my case, or dropping charges? I am 15 years old and live in Texas, and haven’t been given a court date or anything
I won’t go through all that indictment stuff though, since I’m a minor, will I?
I do have a previous marijuana charge from about 6 months ago
I’m in Plano Texas, which is a pretty big city just north of dallas

Because you are a minor the juvenile court division takes just a bit longer before you get entered in to the system.
Be patient, you and your parents will be notified soon enough!
