Drug addiction is plain and simple- it corrupts the life of the user and those around them. I’ve watched my sister go through lortab and alcohol withdrawals. I’ve been through many pill withdrawals. It’s not a fun thing to go through. Everything is all fun and games until it becomes a part of who you are. When you wake up in the morning, and the first thought that crowds your mind is how am I going to get drugs? I would say the majority of addictions evolve from the following:
1. Partying for a lifestyle.
2. Trying to become numb, and escape reality through drugs.
It’s fun to experiment the different feelings you can achieve. It’s also truly amazing how numb you can become to reality. While in fact, you lose yourself in the process. Why you may not realize it, your personality changes. Trust me, I know this from personal experience. You’ll have constant mood swings that you cannot control. Espically if maybe your dealer takes to long to get the goods!
In all honesty, the best drug everyone should experiment with, is reality. Once you’re at a dead end, and have no other choice but to see the light, let it shine through and embrace the beauty.
Much Love from a still trying to quit pill addict.
